Point A to Point B only allowed. There are better routes on OpenBve than the New York subway. A big advantage of OpenBVE over the original BVE, is that the former allows you to "mix 'n' match" routes and trains without having to set up separate files for each run. The Local BVE Blog is also well worth a visit, where you'll find articles covering the use of openBVE's new features and commands, with some screenshots.
Not wanting to start a flame war but let me ask you, if you like BVE and tried to bash Trainz in your post, then why are you still posting here?

Excellent cross-platform 3D space as in known universe! Hi, I have used openbve for long time. The program has been written using. One bad point though: Sounds are also great. An excellent tutorial for anyone interested in developing trains for BVE.
Thanks for the pointers. A very nice German cab-view simulator, with smooth graphics, cab sway, realistic cab systems, good scenery and realistic catenary. NET plugin here too.

A handy text editor I use for coding openBVE objects and route files, with a useful file comparison feature. I have not seen any other simulator that is free with good graphics and realistic sounds and textures like OpenBVE. From what I can gather, this has been set up to make opehbve easier for english speakers to experience BVE.
A fantastic new simulation currently being developed in the Netherlands; visit the forum to see screenshots of this promising simulator. I also tried MSTS once but not anymore. Trainz is so much better.

Great tool for finding large files or groups of files on your drives, presented graphically and making freeing up disk space much easier. Light effects from signals, sparks etc.
